Re-Producing an Article on my father, Janardhan Prabhu, a Seasoned Mountaineer, published by "The Hindustan Times" News Paper.
A senior member of two reputed Mountaineering Institutes in New Delhi, my father has scaled numerous peaks and journeyed through many a natural challenges. Some of his treks include Mount Kanchenjunga (officially the highest peak in India); Base Camp II - Mount Everest, Neelkanth Mahadev, Valley of Flowers and trekked across the The Thar Desert. Adjudged as the Mountaineer of the Year, 2001 by Government of Delhi State, he is an empanelled Mountaineer Guide for Schools in Delhi for various trekking related adventurous activities for Government of National Capital Territory (NCT), Delhi.
Interestingly, the Reporter who conducted the interview of my father, was impressed by his camp conduct, as a participating student in one of his camps !! So, here we have an article, straight from the Horse's mouth !! Thanks Teena !
