Gowda Saraswatha Brahmin Konkans, or more commonly known GSB Konkanis', are usually settled along the picturesque Konkan Coast, beginning Ratnagiri in Maharashtra, through Goa, Coastal Karnataka and upto Kasaragod in northern coastal Kerala. Of course, for all us Konkans, specific places like Mangalore, and Goa, have their emotional appeal; and like the famed comic pair from Belgium, Konkans come with their own couple of likes and dislikes and idiosyncrasies.
When I came across a Orkut group called "Daat Dalitoy Lovers " I was obviously not surprised by how many members it had !! But perhaps what makes us different and places class apart is the tradition we adhere to, in spirit and flavor.
Ordinarily, all GSB Konkans are identified between one of the three religious sects, to which we all hold it very dear and with great honour.
